The Coral Gables Merrick House was the home of Revered Solomon G. Merrick, his wife Althea and their six children. Their son George was the planner of the City of Coral Gables in the early 1900's. Listed in the National Registry of Historic Places, the Coral Gables Merrick House stands as a tribute to the history of South Florida. It is filled with the Merrick family's artwork, photographs, furniture and their personal possessions. George Merrick was the founder of Coral Gables.
