There are few places like in Miami

If your family is visiting Miami during the summer, be sure not to miss the 4th of July celebrations and fireworks. Miami’s 4th of July celebration is so full of fun activities, there’s no excuse for having a boring Independence Day! Head over to The Barnacle Historic State Park starting at 9am to experience a truly old-fashioned celebration. Families are invited to come in pioneer costumes or funny "Roaring 20s" style swimsuits, but regular clothes are fine as well. Kids can learn old-time lawn games like Horseshoes, make their own kites, learn to tie knots and more. Examine the antique cars on display, or tour the Munroe home. Bring lunch along for this old-style picnic.

Alternatively, check out America’s Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park. This event is full of Latin music, food, and fun activities for the children. For a truly patriotic evening, consider the Miami Beach celebration, when many children from other countries will be granted citizenship and enjoy their first real Independence Day, followed by a free symphony concert.

4th of July wouldn’t be special without the fireworks at the end of the day. Enjoy displays in Coral Gables, Miami Beach, or the huge show over Biscayne Bay.
