Location: NE 2nd Ave. and NE 40th St., Miami

The Miami Design District is located within Little Haiti. The redevelopment of this area started approximately six years ago. Craig Robbins is credited with having the vision and know how to bring it all together. He began by buying up the run down buildings in the area and fixing them up. He then persuaded top designers and architects to relocate. Currently, there are approximately 125 tenants including Alison Spear, Holly Hunt, the Italian Pavillion, LA Associates, and Peter Page. The Miami Design District, a unique, 18 square block 'community of design,' is progressing into a district of furniture showrooms and designer boutiques.
