Most of us have heard stories, or viewed scenes on television, of people interacting with dolphins. Certainly we'd all love to enjoy similar experiences with these magnificent and highly intelligent marine animals. There are a number of places in Miami where families can swim with dolphins: every child would absolutely love the experience!
Miami Seaquarium offers the Dolphin Encounter This fun-filled shallow water program is an amazing way for kids (and parents) to enjoy an unforgettable experience with a dolphin. Participants are first introduced to the program with an informative classroom session where they gain insight into these fun-loving mammals. They then wade into the water for an unforgettable shallow water experience with a real live dolphin. Go ahead: touch, feed and play with the dolphin! They're just as playful as your kids will be. Your kids even learn what its like to train a dolphin, getting up-close and personal like never before.

Dolphin World Dolphin World's motto is "Don’t Just Get Your Feet Wet—Dive Into the Action and Swim with Dolphins on Your Next Travel Adventure" and they really mean it. Their dolphin swim programs allow you to plunge into the remarkable world of these powerful marine mammals and come face to face with bottlenose dolphins, porpoises and other majestic cetaceans. Kids must be five years or older to participate and anyone within five through nine years old, must have a paid 10 year old or older participant.

Theater of the Sea Marine Mammal Adventure Theater of the Sea takes swimming with dolphins to a whole different level. Their Marine Mammal Adventure program allows you to swimming with dolphins as well as swim with other marine animals including sea lions and sting rays. The swim program takes place in a 15 feet deep natural salt-water lagoon.
Another wonderful offering is Theater of the Sea's dolphin and sea lion birthday shows. Imagine this: your child gets to celebrate their birthday with their family, friends and a dolphin and sea lion! Wow, what a thrill!
