Oleta River State Park offers visitors a variety of recreational opportunities including kayaking, mountain biking, camping in air-conditioned cabins, swimming, fishing, trail walking and
picnicking. This is all available along the scenic Biscayne Bay.

The spring and summer weather makes for hotter days to enjoy the park and all its activities. Why not cool off at the picturesque beach or take a bike ride along a shaded bike trail. They have something for everyone.

At 1,043 acres, Oleta River State Park is the largest urban park in the state. Located on Biscayne Bay in northeast Dade County, the most prominent natural feature of the park is the Oleta River, for which the park is named.

Today, the Oleta River no longer flows north into the Everglades but its beauty and splendor lives on. Water birds feed along the mangrove-lined shoreline and the endangered West Indian manatee finds refuge from south Florida‘s crowded waterways.
